How to Remove “Proudly Powered by WordPress” from the Footer

Use a simple feature in the Customizer

To remove “Proudly Powered by WordPress” from the Footer, follow these simple steps.

First go to “The Customizer.” You can select the big blue “Customize Your Site” Button, or, if you are on a different page on your site, click on “Appearance” in the left hand menu, then choose “Customize.”

Once you are in “The Customizer,” scroll down to “Additional CSS” (CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets)

Click on Additional CSS and add this code (see photo below)

Then Click on Save & Publish. At footer the “Proudly Powered by WordPress” will be gone.
